Nan Ecklund-Luker is self-effacing but the sheer volume of real estate she’s handled over her thirteen-year career lets clients know that she’s serious about business. She’s consistently been a Top Producer but, again, she’s modest about her success. Nan says, “I’ve always felt my career was a blessing.” I remain aware that each client has very specific needs. I guess it comes down to treating people as I would like to be treated. Sometimes the keys to success are so simple that they’re overlooked. People want things to be more complicated than they really are. Just do your job well and earn a reputation for honesty-then the business will take care of itself.”
Apparently her philosophy is working. Referrals from past clients are a huge part of Nan’s business. “I would estimate that 85% of my business comes to me because previous transactions have gone well and my name has been passed on to friends and family members. This is great for business. But it’s also a bond, a trust, that I hold in high regard. I consider these referrals to be an honor and I do my best to live up to that responsibility.” Nan is also known for having a close relationship with her clients. She says, sometimes the hardest part is letting go after the house is sold or the right home is located, I don’t want to say, ‘good-bye.’ They’ve become family, so to speak. In fact, that is one of the real joys of this business. It’s great to form such close ties with so many wonderful people.” It’s also important to have good working relationships with other agents in the community.
Nan adds, “I believe it’s part of our job to communicate and serve our clients’ best interests. At the end, I want to see a happy buyer and seller leave the negotiating table and feel as if they’ve both been treated fairly. This can only happen if you have a good rapport with other agents. It’s a priority and a definite plus that benefits clients.” Nan’s husband, Brian, joined her in 2004 and brings his background in sales/marketing and a strong work ethic to the business. “We want to take the business to a new level, to reach for even higher levels of customer service,” says Nan. One thing is certain: both Brian and Nan have a passion for work and a desire to serve the community. It’s definitely a winning combination.
Nan has lived in Texas since 1987 and specializes in selling homes in the Northest Tarrant County area where she has resided since 1989. She’s a devoted mother and seems to have “done it all” by creating a highly successful career while remaining an attentive mom. She’s a graduate of the Institute for Luxury Homes and is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative. Nan adds, “I had a tremendous opportunity that I took full advantage of. I learned from the best realtors in the Metroplex. That’s good news for me but it’s even better news for my clients. I am so happy to say that I’ve never closed a deal without feeling as if I’ve made new friends. Now that’s success!”
